Our commitment

Accessibility

This website is built to work with screen readers, keyboards, and other assistive technology. If something doesn't work for you, tell us and we'll fix it.

The Cleveland Community Police Commission believes public oversight information must be available to every resident. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced by Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

What we do

Readable by default

Color contrast meets WCAG 2.1 AA on text and interface elements; content reflows to 400% zoom without loss.

Keyboard operable

Every menu, filter, form, and control works without a mouse, with a visible focus indicator throughout.

Structured for screen readers

Semantic headings, descriptive links, image alt text, and ARIA landmarks so assistive technology can navigate the site.

Accessible documents

We are working to ensure the reports, agendas, and filings in the Document Library are provided in accessible formats on request.

Ongoing work

We review the site against WCAG 2.1 AA on an ongoing basis, and a barrier reported by a resident goes to the top of the fix list. Some older documents in the archive may not yet meet every criterion. If you need one of those in an accessible format, contact us and we will provide it.

Report a barrier or request an accommodation

If any part of this website is difficult to use, or you need information in an alternative format, please tell us. Include the page address and a description of the problem so we can respond quickly.
